    Edouard Manet
    He was one of the first artists topaint modern life. He began to paint in his own style, but still used some ofCouture’s techniques like thick lines and dark colors. He was greatlyinfluenced by Claude Monet and Berthe Morisot, which can be seen in his use oflight shades. Most of his paintings had scenes of daily life on the streets ofParis. His works include Olympia and The Absinthe Drinker.
    Camille Pissarro
    In his early years, Pissarro paintedscenes of a river or a path from memory. After meeting Claude Monet and PaulCezanne, who painted in a more realistic style, he changed his course toImpressionism. During his career, he experimented with various styles, andfinally formed his own one. His works include Old Market at Rouen and Sunsetat St. Charles.
    Vincent van Gogh
    He had a huge influence on art inthe 20th century. His early works were most painted in somber tones. However,influenced by Monet, Pissarro, and Bernard, he adopted brighter colors in hisworks, and started creating his own techniques. Although he had produced morethan 2,000 works of art, the artist sold only one painting during his lifetime— Red Vineyard at Arles. His worksinclude The Potato Eaters, Starry Night and Bedroom in Arles.
    Claude Monet
    He was the founder of theImpressionist movement and completely changed the French painting in the 19thcentury. Although he first started by selling charcoal caricatures

    It’s just been three months afterthe first bike-sharing company arrived in Singapore, but reports of abuse andvandalism
(故意破坏)of shared bikes in the city keep appearing onsocial media.
    The majority of these shared bikesare stationless, which means they don’t need to be stopped at a designated
(指定的)spot.They lock themselves after your ride is over, and you’re meant to just leavethe bike at the side of a road.
    But users have been chaining upbicycles outside their apartments, preventing others from using them. Somepeople bring them up to their apartment floors, so they can’t be found easilyby other users. Some people have removed the bikes’ number plates or codes, andsome even have painted over the bikes to claim the bikes for themselves. Mostof the abused bikes belong to either Singapore-based oBike, or ofo, abike-sharing giant based in China.
    ofo has encouraged Singaporeanusers to report issues. oBike said that the number of bicycles that weredamaged made up less than one percent of its fleet. The company said inFebruary that it planned to bring in “tens of thousands” of bikes by mid-2017.The company has yet to ban anyone from its service, but said that it would takeappropriate action – including making reports to the police.
    oBike also introduced ashortcoming system, similar to that of its competitor, China-basedMobike. Users start with 100 points, which get taken away for errant
(出格的)behavioursuch as forgetting to lock the bike, or parking at non-designated areas. Usersare banned from using oBike when their scores reach zero. oBike has aneight-man operation team that can remove bicycles parked casually.
    When approached for comment,Mobike said, “In China, just as in Singapore, there are always a tiny minorityof people who abuse the bikes, so we designed our system to prevent this typeof abuse.”

I was often troubled by lack of confidences. So I appliedfor a job at an exhibition as reporter last term. The exhibition was heldannual to display the latest products in the field of education.
